許多在台灣想當然耳的事情，因為不特別而沒做過。在溫哥華，一下子把這些事情都做過一遍，好似要填補以前的缺口。

People usually start to appreciate the beauty of their hometown after they leave. At the dinner

party celebrating the 100th Double Tenth National Day, I was surprised that I still could sing some old folk songs that I only sang at very young age. When we sink into the complaints about our country, the best thing is to leave and discover the goodness of our country.

從沒有參加過國慶慶祝活動的我，這次跟著溫哥華客家會參加當地僑界的慶祝餐會。當晚國旗和餐桌已經多到數不清，大夥唱梅花和中華民國頌的熱情令人難忘。太平洋另一端的台灣似乎更美。唯有失去才懂得珍惜，果然沒錯。 

  僑界各民間團體共襄盛舉。溫哥華客家會排了兩個節目，電音三太子開場和客家山歌教唱。
